CARS Party

HAPPY 4th BIRTHDAY ETHAN!This year I had a small family party since Mom can't really go anywhere. We had pizza & cake and opened presents. My cake was decorated in CARS! Follow along to see what all I got....
I got some more "squishy animals" like a snake, a fish, a starfish, etc... Laban had a lot of fun teasing me with the snake. Now I know what to get him for his birthday!
One of the neat things I got was a Magnetix building set. I also got some other building things (since I really like to do that sort of thing).
Aunt Lynn & Uncle Steve brought me a tractor since I love pretending I have a farm in my backyard.
Some of the other neat things I got was a new spinning toothbrush & Spiderman toothpaste, money to put in my savings account, animals that grow in the water, books for my LeapPad, playdough and other cool stuff.
Laban & Lori brought me three gifts that were a huge hit with the "adults" ~ one was a whoopie cushion! Everyone got a laugh out of it. The second was a blow-up punching bag. I would have Grandma Terry hit me with it and then I'd fall down. The third was a rocket launcher that Mom said was an outside toy before I even finished unwrapping it. Mom & Dad said they can't wait until Laban & Lori have kids!!!
One of the coolest things I got from Mom & Dad was a big bucket of Lego's. Dad also got out some of his old Lego's that he played with as a little boy and gave them to me. We've made a lot of neat things so far. My Grandma & Grandpa Snipes, from Warsaw, also sent me a Harley Davidson t-shirt and some more tractors! Most importantly, a yellow bulldozer, which is exactly what I wanted.
Thanks for everything!

Fancy Suit For A Handsome Boy

For my birthday, I was in a wedding. As you can see I got to wear what I called a "fancy suit." My Mom & Dad said I was very handsome all dressed up. I was in their friend's (Kevin & Leslie) wedding @ St. Clement's (the same church Mom & Dad got married in). They threw a pretty big party for my 4th birthday! It certainly put my Clifford party last year to shame.

Grandma & Grandpa's House

I got to spend a couple days with Grandma Terry & Grandpa Kelly, while Mom & Dad went up north. Mom had surgery on her ankle (again), but hopefully this will help. While they were gone I had some fun. We went to a new water park in town. There are all kinds of things that shoot water out everywhere and funnels that pour water. I could spend all day there just running around. I'm thinking Dad should install on of these in our backyard!
We also out to Aunt Lynn & Uncle Steve's farm. I got to feed their cows and hang out with Uncle Steve in the field. The cows do talk, but I can't understand what they say. One of the mommy cow's is about to have a baby. I can't wait to go back and help out on the farm.

Good Day or Bad Day?

Written by Mom:

Tonight, Ethan told Nate & I that he "had a bad day" at camp today. When asked why he explained, "I touched the goal and the teacher said and I touched the net while Josh was playing and I had to sit by the wall forever." (code for - he was touching/messing with the net of the little hockey goals while others played, after the teacher asked him not to, so he had to sit in time out for 5 minutes)

What makes this story funny is that he then asked Nate and I both, "Did you have a good day or a bad day?" When Nate answered that he had a "frustrating day," Ethan then stated that Dad had a "both day" (meaning good and bad).

P.S. Don't worry except for those 5 minutes, the rest of his day at camp was good. He said they made puppets, played with playdough, watched a Veggie Tales movie and he ate all his lunch.

Happy Fourth of July Daddy!!!!!

The 4th of July isn't just another holiday to celebrate. It also happens to be my Daddy's birthday. We spent the weekend doing some projects outside, but found time to enjoy some cake and homemade ice cream.

An Early Birthday

This weekend my Grandma Anita visited and I got to open some birthday presents a month early. The presents added to my newest obsession with CARS. What I got included: flashlight, fleece blanket, pillow, lunchbox, sun glasses, view master, t-shirt and more..... Notice in the picture I'm using 3 of those items. Thanks for all the nice stuff. We all went to see the movie (finally, it's only been out for weeks now). I loved it. My favorite part was when Mater went fishing and pulled up Lighting McQueen. He also drives backwards, so he remains my favorite character. Overall, it was a fun weekend.

It's Been A Long Time.....

Thanks to my mom, who couldn't remember the password to login to this website, it's been a while since the last update on my life. So let me try to re-cap for you what's been going on in my world. It's been busy. Mom is feeling better, but has been out of town for work. Dad & I were "bachelor's" for the weekend. He took me to play "Big Boy Golf" (minature golf) and I loved it. Summer camp is going well. My favorite is water day on Friday's.

Meet my fish Fred #? (I can't count that high). I won him at the Holy Spirit summer social (my new school) a few weekends ago. This is me yelling at him, because fish apparently can't hear. I was telling Fred to swim. After the ride home, and me shaking the bag like I was making "Shake & Bake," Fred didn't move much. Mom put him in a vase, because she said she wasn't getting out the aquarium since these fish don't usually live more than a few days. But the next morning he was still swimming, and every morning after that for over 2 weeks. Then one evening Mom was cleaning out the vase and went to pour some of the yucky water down the sink drain and can you guess what happened next? Big uh-oh.

Next up - the movie CARS is out now and McDonald's has the different characters in their Happy Meals. I've collected several of the toys. My favorite thus far is Mater (the tow truck). I kept the box so that I can learn the names of all the characters. Dad promises we're going to see the movie soon.
Several weekends ago, Mom & I went with Aunt Lynn one Saturday shopping. The trip included a Happy Meal, so I'm easy to please. There were no toy stores involved in this shopping experience (next time I need to ask ahead of time where we are going). All I saw was clothes. But as you can see I did end up with some shark pj's, courtesy of Aunt Lynn.
