Stubborn Socks

It was bound to happen sooner or later..... Most 4 year olds assert their independence (or stubbornness in my case) regarding clothing choices at some point. Mine occurred this morning while getting ready for school.

Last month Mom bought me a pair of dinosaur socks while on a trip for work in Chicago. Today, I decided to wear them. They kind of matched, but that wasn't the problem. After getting myself dressed I walked into the bathroom to show Mom and Dad my new socks only to be greeted by an outburst of laughter. I didn't know the socks were funny? You can only guess why they laughed. The issue was that I insisted on keeping them pulled up all day. I'm sure my teachers thought it was a bit odd to wear knee-highs during 90 degree weather! The socks were still riding high when I left school and remained on all day. Mom was worried I'd be obsessed with this pair and it would be a fight to get them off me that night, but I gladly took them off. This was after all the first pair of socks that weren't white Hanes! I think for Christmas I'll ask for more like this. Who knew socks could be this fun?

First Day of Pre-K

Today was my first day of Pre-K. Although it was rainy outside, my day was great! Dad took me and he had to track me down to tell me good-bye. I love all the new toys and activities. We had a bible story and I learned that God created all the animals (including dinosaurs!). I shared with Mom & Dad that:
"On the 7th day Jesus rested because he didn't want to get up."
I'm sure I'll learn a lot more as the school year goes on. So stayed tuned.....
