Duck, Duck, Goose

We took full advantage of the nice weather and spring break this week by going to the park (again). This time we came armed with old bread out of the freezer. There are a lot of ducks there and some really big birds that I call "gooses."
The goose had a big ugly orange nose.

The Weekend

Parker's new nickname is "Spider-Man." You should see her climb up on our couch. Pretty soon she'll be big enough to jump! Then where will I hide all my toys?
We got to spend a lot of time outside this weekend. Lot's of parks and lot's of walking. I should sleep well tonight. Mom hopes I sleep til 7 a.m. since we're on spring break all week and can sleep in! Dad isn't real excited that he has to get up and go to work though. But we're going to go meet him for lunch tomorrow.
Big things that happened this weekend:

  1. I learned the right way to throw a Frisbee. My new favorite thing to do.
  2. I went to my Great-Great Aunt's birthday party and got to play with a friend named Taylor. And we got to eat cake. Can't beat that.
  3. Now that I'm finally learning to pedal my big boy bike, it's almost too little for me!
  4. Dude came over and watched basketball and ate pizza with us. And he brought ice cream too!
  5. I learned if you squeeze a dog too hard, they might very well pee.
  6. I also learned that if you run and jump on the furniture Mom will ban you from sitting on the couch for the rest of the day. (That wasn't fun!)
  7. My Aunt Lynn taught me a new word that Mom is hoping I forget soon!
  8. I ate my first soft-taco from Taco Bell.
  9. There are about a dozen G.I. Joe guy body pieces in the backyard. It's like going on a treasure hunt to find them.
  10. Did I mention it's Spring Break this week?

Confused?

Tonight after repeatedly telling Ethan not to do something, he did it again. Then he stood there staring at me as if he was waiting for a reaction.

Me: "Do I look amused?"

Ethan: "No, you look confused."

Nate: rolling on the floor laughing!

Rule #1 Of A New Puppy

You must keep one hand on a puppy at all times. This will prevent her from nibbling on you and will keep her from squirming away.

Day 5 With Parker....

It has taken me a few days to get used to the dog, but she's finally my best buddy. For a while there I was running & jumping on the couch to get away from her. I didn't really like her scratching my legs with her feet. Parker is a lot of fun. I've even been reading to her. You should all come see her!

Finally, A Dog!

I've been asking (begging) for a puppy for a long time now. A very long time. I had Dad convinced and this weekend I finally got Mom on board (because she's weak). So meet our new family member, Parker. She's a black & white American Cocker Spaniel.
The fun has really begun! Now all the chasing and running around can start. Mom says I used the word, "Parker" AT LEAST 300 times today! I'm not quite understanding why when I call her she doesn't come to me, but she does like to chase me. We picked out some cool toys for her and she has a crate to sleep in.
I'll miss her while I'm at school tomorrow, but I can't wait to tell everyone about my new puppy!!!

A Really BAD Haircut!

Last night Dad & I went to our usual super-quick haircut place to get a buzz. During the summer Dad will cut it outside, but it's a little cold out right now. Mom isn't allowed to touch either of our heads! Dad says he let Mom do it once back in college and it didn't go very well. When I was almost 1 Mom tried to trim around my ears and it turned into a worst chunky mess and a lot of crying....so she stays away from all that.

About 8 weeks ago we went to the same place and they didn't do a very good job evening things out. You'd think we would learn our lesson and we may have this time. When we returned home Mom asked if we let a blind person cut my hair. She couldn't believe Dad paid for this. All $9.99.

Don't worry Dad trimmed it up some and my hair grows quick. But if you see me and think I look a little off center just pretend I'm holding my head to the side...that way the line looks even.
